To benefit Greg Giraldo’s Children Fund

You know Jim Florentine as Special Ed, the retarded puppet. He also terrorizes telemarketers. He currently hosts a show about metal…Now see him get ass burned!

Cringe Humor & Comix Comedy Club have teamed up to introduce a new series of roasts celebrating icons of New York City comedy.

The series kicks off with a Cringe Humor favorite, Jim Florentine, host of VH1 Classics’ That Metal Show. Jim is a regular on the Howard Stern Show, and the Comedy Central Series Crank Yankers. He has also been featured on HBO’s Inside The NFL, and is a regular guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The dais will be loaded with some of the greatest names in comedy as well as Jim’s close friends in the business. Comedians set to perform include Bob Levy, Don Jamieson, Eddie Trunk, Bonnie McFarlane, Keith Robinson, Otto & George, and many special guests to be announced soon.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Giraldo Children’s Fund, for the family of the late Greg Giraldo. Greg was originally booked to roast, before his tragic and untimely death.

We will also being paying to tribute to Greg Giraldo, a master roaster in his own right during the event. There will also be a special performance by comedian Jesse Joyce, who was Greg’s opening act, and co-wrote many roast jokes for some of Giraldo’s legendary Comedy Central performances.

The roast will take place at Comix Comedy Club in NYC on Tuesday, November 2nd. The doors open at 7pm with pre show drink specials and a silent auction. Shows begins at 8pm.

Admission is set for $30. Discounts and other specials will be announced soon.
